Lesson 10: RoF, the Placed Retrieve, no setup. Days 1-3, the dog is learning new application of "Fetch", gaining confidence, getting muscle memory. Day 4, build speed, dog is to launch FAST, FAST, FAST with NO help from you at all.

Your dog should be able to pick up DB from the ground. Once it can do that successfully, it is time to build confidence, skill, speed in the retrieve and muscle memory.  The only way to do that is to ensure your dog knows that "Fetch" = fetch FAST and you have to build that speed into the dogs understanding.  If you allow a dog to go slowly at 6', the dog will continue to go slower and slower and slower on their retrieves, so this is a critical week of working your dog successfully against new and varied distractions to proof its understanding the "Fetch" = fetch FAST.

So, to accomplish that goal of "Fetch" = fetch FAST, work against distractions, low-med-high.
So, I am putting all my many videos of Boaz's learning that "Fetch" = fetch FAST so you can watch and understand.
