Lesson 6: The 'Jump' command

Set up your white jump, height is not important, but the dog needs to see white uprights and a solid white board in the middle.

Put the leash in your LEFT hand, simply command, "Let's go" and take off at a jogging run (based on size of dog). When you are 8' away from going over the jump, that is where you command, "Jump". Put a marker of some kind 8' in front of the jump so you know when to give the command. Recommend you jump OVER the jump with your dog to help them physically with leash pressure if need be.

Do 10 a day.
