Lesson 2 EXAM: Open on Command

Please provide a video with 5 Lesson 2: Open on Command in HIGH distractions. To pass this EXAM, the dog needs to Open its Mouth on the command of "Fetch" in the face of HIGH distractions. Minimal brushing of teeth is acceptable.

Due no later than Saturday noon.

Have fun. Please submit video(s) showing a total of five Lesson 2 retrieves = Open on Command. The 5 retrieves do NOT need to be done at one time or in one video.

Do notice that in 2018, the Lesson 2 was the following sequence:

1) Collar High and Snug,
2) Fold Back
3) Present "Fetch"

However, I have changed the Lesson 2 to the sequence you learned in class:
1) Collar high and snug
2) Fold back
3) Thumb on ear
4) Present "Fetch"

Why the change? Because the Lesson 3 is 1/3 pivotal moments in the retrieve training. Because Lesson 3 is so key, I felt it easier on the new handler/their dog to get both accustomed to the "Collar high and snug, fold back, thumb on ear" sequence prior to the Lesson 3. Adding in the 'Thumb on ear' during Lesson 2 streamlines the handler's ease of mechanics and the dog has a week to adjust to its owner handling its ear prior to Week 3.

Your Lesson 2 EXAM is a total of 5 Retrieves = Open on Command following the sequence:
1) Collar high and snug
2) Fold back
3) Thumb on ear
4) Present "Fetch"
The 5 retrieves do NOT need to be done at one time or in one video.
