A place to gain transformation and develop teamwork, at a whole new level, during the retrieve training journey. A place to grow, to learn, to see yourself differently.
Please text me these photos? Also a few more of Molly retrieving from my lap, and from DB on ground and going over Sugar's paw? I need these photos for MeWe and for another student, Nancy, I. NY to help her understand why we train our dogs against being able to work despite unusual and HIGH distractions.
You realize that Sugar was able to remain in a Down, despite Molly wlakung over his paw, BECAUSE of years proofing him to obey despite unusual or unexpected situations. No way I ever trained him to remain in a Down and let a young dog retrieve and walk over his paw. He remained in the Down BECAUSE of the many years of prior experiences obeying no matter what. This video is as much about Sugar as it is about Molly.
Thanks, Roxanne, for the help and the great pointers. Molly is catching on way faster than I am!
ReplyDeleteSuch an excellent video. So many handler pointers.
